2021 saw another long extended lockdown impacting Breast Screening, appointments were put on hold to “ensure the safety of women”… as a result over 133 women were undiagnosed with Breast Cancer during this time. BCFNZ needed to raise awareness for women to rebook mammograms and urgently gather signatures to demand Government action on Breast Cancer - the leading cause of death in women under 65.
